What it is
Gymnema sylvestre is a woody vine used in traditional Indian medicine. Its name in Hindi is often translated as “sugar destroyer.”
What studies report
Small, short studies in people with diabetes have reported lower blood glucose. They were limited, so the findings are not firm.
The medicine caution
